seeing as how the update has been awhile, here's the last month in a nutshell:
exams were surprisingly easy, even with all 4 of them in the first two days. marks back, no surprises. what was a surprise was my acceptance to Western. well, not really I guess, but it was quite exciting until I realized i didn't really want to go there anyways. and as it stands, I have no way of accessing my application to Dalhousie, which really is where I want to end up next year, which is disturbing to say the least. Bumped into my elementary school French teacher at the mall today, and her son is taking Kin in the States on an athletic scholarship and he absolutely loves it, so everything I have heard about what I'm planning is good. Which is good.
While I was on said mall excursion I wandered into Best Buy to get various things and happened on a gorgeous CD tower. Now, to understand how happy this CD tower made me, you have to know how long I have been looking for a wire CD stand that has enough space to hold all my CDs... which is a ridiculously long time. So anyways, it was perfect and now sits in a special place on my bedroom floor.
Last night, I had the best message ever left on my answering machine by my ex-supervisor at work, just to remind me to hand in my hours request, but this guy is my favourite. He reminds me of Seth Green, pure jokes. And I'm sure it won't be funny anymore when I type it out, but it was something along the lines of: Tara! I'm having a bit of seperation anxiety from missing you on Saturday nights! but i'm sure if you just pick the right choices that we shall be reunited again, and all will be right with the world.... all this said in the most serious voice you can imagine... this from the guy who borrowed my whistle and told me he would slobber all over it for me to remember him by.
This was followed by another message from a foreign man, I couldn't even tell you his nationality and I can't even pronounce his name, but it was the same message that Boris used to leave "Are you needing the moving? We have big truck and strong men... work at all time, for heavy things... (something about fish... lol)...." Funniest shit ever, I just about died laughing at my answering machine last night. and to my fellow drunken laserquesters.... holy shit that night was funny. most hilarious games of my life! And my skiing/boarding buddies too. I actually went skiing last weekend, the first time since grade 8... and I was surprisingly good, for not having skiied in four years. Fun times :D
Then today I decided I wasn't going to last period, so I came home and had a Friday afternoon off. And just the thought of the afternoon off made me so happy all morning. When I got home though I'm surprised at how little I've actually done so far. Although I did have to drive my sister and her friends around, and then my trip to the mall. But, my pizza has arrived, and then I'm off to set up the 61" DLP tv that my dad randomly came home with the other day.

now playing: No Rain, by Blind Melon... the song is everywhere today. I listened to it on my walk home, then when home turned on the tv to find it on both "pop-up video" and "top 90 of the 90's"... where it was soon followed by Enter Sandman :D

ponder this: to all you v-day haters: when is it ever a bad thing to spread a little love?
